Yes, I am a Christian.
itsallaboutchrist:
Yes, I am a Christian.
No, I don’t hate gays.
No, I won’t shove the Bible down your throat.
No, I won’t tell non-Christians they’ll go to hell.
And no, I am no better than anyone else.
I was saved, by the Almighty King, and was put, on this planet, to love Him and the people He made, and to share the Gospel. Period.
If we are to believe the Bible, non-Christians will go to hell.
An essential part of the gospel says that all men have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). And nothing that falls short of God’s glory is accepted in heaven, and therefore goes to hell (Revelation 21:8). Isn’t it cruel not to tell people of the truth that unless they accept Jesus and His grace and live by His words and repent they won’t taste heaven?
The spirit behind not offending others doesn’t do any good; true Christians would rather offend people to heaven than cower in fear because of persecution that might come because of offending others. It’s not boasting, too, for true Christians acknowledge that they have not been accepted for heaven because of their own merits - its because of the blood and sacrifice of Jesus that they have been deemed righteous, for the glory of God.
